What Got Us  Involved With Foster Care
What I Need is a Mom.  An informative article by Ms. Conna Craig in Policy Review giving a good overview of foster care and how we can bring positive change.

Learn More About Foster Care
NH Foster & Adoptive Parent Association.  This site contains great information and a host of other links to learn more aboutfoster care and how to get involved.  This is our state wide organization where the officers of the local groups come together with DCYF leaders at the state level.

Conneticut Valley Foster & Adoptive Parent Association.  This is our local foster care group.  They are such a great group of people and we appreciate Mike Sanborn's leadership and web design!  This is a great page for seeing what foster care is like at the local level.

AdoptUSKids.org is a national database of children awaiting adoption and families approved to adopt.  The AdoptUSKids website allows families to search for children and workers to search for families throughout the United States. The site also includes comprehensive adoption information
for families and many features to assist social workers.

New Ideas in Foster Care
Texas Church Embraces America's Foster Children.  Here is an inspiring story of one church that decided to make a difference.  If 25% of NH churches committed to caring for 2 foster children each year, we would solve our current problems - and we are one of the most "unchurched" states in the country.
Read their story!
